Student and Legal Mediation Office welcomes one if its newest members: Hugo Sergio Sanchez. Hugo is from Madisonville, Texas and has called this area his home his whole life. He is entering his third year at Sam as a junior, and he is majoring in political science and minoring in psychology.
Hugo’s passion, perseverance, and professionalism inspired him to take a position with the SLMS office since he aspires to attend law school following his graduation at Sam and then focus on immigration and civil law. He is a member of the Elliot T. Bowers Honor College and was a member of the second ELITE cohort here at Sam. He has received the Dan Rather scholarship for communication and has also been on the Dean’s List. In addition to his diligence in the classroom he has served as event organizer for the e-Sports club on campus. Hugo has been published in a sociology magazine for a piece he wrote on ethnic studies.
Although his saxophone skills won’t help him in the office (he has played for 7 years) Hugo will assist in helping this office provide quality legal consultations and mediation services to students here at Sam.
